BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in in Stone Oak, TX is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced I nternal M edicine department.

Qualifications:

Must be a LVT.

Must have experience with Dialysis, Anesthesia and Central Lines

As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians, you are a liaison between our internists and our clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics as requested by the doctors. You will be involve d with client contact through phone calls, email, and in p erson conversations. Additionally, you will be assisting with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, filling prescriptions, taking x rays , and obtaining lab samples. Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required.

As an IM Veterinary Technician, you will...

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc. ).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.
• Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations.
• Additional job duties as assigned.
