Summary
Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant to join our Bellevue Medical Center Orthopedic Surgery team in Bellevue, Washington. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an integrated care delivery system that prioritizes evidence-based medicine, patient-centered care, and physician collaboration. This position would start in May 2026.
Position Highlights:
This is a multi-disciplinary orthopedic surgery practice involving the full breadth of orthopedic surgery. There is a team spirit of collaboration with an emphasis on continuous learning, education, quality improvement, and standardization of care and best practices. We have a full multi-disciplinary team of orthopedic surgeons, orthopedic surgery physician assistants, and robust support staff, including RNs and MAs.
Core components of this position include:
- Evaluating and managing patients in the outpatient clinic at all points in the care continuum
• First Assist on laparoscopic, robotic, and open procedures
• Community Hospital Rounding & Inpatient management
• Consultations in urgent care and ED if needed to amplify efficiencies
• Shared Call Responsibilities with additional pay earned from overnight and weekend call.
• No trauma component to this position.
- Salary Range: $147,852 to $173,943 (salary will be prorated based on FTE, new hire salaries will be based on factors such as education, training and experience.) Additional compensation for call responsibilities.

- Required: Two years or more of surgical experience
- Preferred: Orthopedic surgery physician assistant experience
- Ability to obtain: Unrestricted Federal DEA
- Ability to obtain: WA State Medical License

Experience
Minimum one year of experience working as an orthopedic surgery physician assistant. Or one one-year surgical physician assistant fellowship.
Ideal candidate would have 2-3 years of orthopedic surgery or surgical first assistant experience.
All applicants must be able to obtain an unrestricted Washington State Medical License and a Federally Issued DEA license. All applicants must possess a full range of clinical skills and an interest in working with an innovative group practice.
