- Per Diem - Interventional Cardiologist
Description
The Swedish Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for per diem work to help its Interventional Cardiology program at its Issaquah campus, in collaboration with the Cherry Hill campus.
The duties include:
1) on-call responsibilities for cardiac emergencies that require interventional / procedural cardiology (STEMI, cardiogenic shock), and 2) care for cardiology patients admitted to the hospital. Overnight on-call responsibilities cover the Issaquah and Cherry Hill campuses and may be weekend or weeknights as assigned.Inpatient duties include weekend days centered at the Issaquah campus with inpatient rounding with the APC on service and covering Issaquah call. You will be expected to collaborate with the Cherry Hill campus when needed.
The mission of this program is to provide safe, compassionate, collaborative, evidence-based, and cost-effective treatment to the whole patient.
The interventional cardiology program enjoys strong collaboration with other specialties including cardiac surgery, vascular medicine, critical care/pulmonary medicine, and cardiac anesthesia while emphasizing a multidisciplinary approach to the practice of cardiovascular medicine.
- MD/DO degree from a recognized medical or osteopathic school required
- Board certification in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology required
- Top-notch skills in communication, team dynamics, and culture creation required
- Skills required include left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention, insertion of mechanical circulatory support, pericardiocentesis, and insertion of temporary pacing wires.
- Compensation is between $330.65 and $460.53 per hour
