Description
Dermatology Opportunity in Decatur-Monroe, IL
You'll step into an established dermatology practice with immediate patient demand and room to shape your ideal mix of medical, procedural, and cosmetic care. This Dermatology role offers built-in support, access to advanced modalities, and a clear runway to grow your personal practice and ancillary income streams. If you're looking for autonomy with the backing of a larger multi-site platform, this is worth a closer look.
Practice Overview
- You'll join a long-standing community dermatology clinic with a loyal patient base and immediate volume
- Primary site includes dedicated exam, cosmetic, and procedure space; you'll supervise an on-site NP
- Opportunity to expand beyond general derm and injectables into higher-acuity skin cancer work (within local service-line alignment)
- Secondary site functions as the regional hub with on-site dermatopathology access and periodic Mohs coverage
Schedule
- Full-time model built around a 4-day, patient-facing week (including virtual visits as needed)
- Established panel allows for a quick ramp; you can tailor clinic vs. procedure time as your practice grows
- Administrative work (charting, labs) handled outside patient-facing hours for clearer clinic flow
- Flexibility to incorporate medical, cosmetic, and selected procedural services based on your interests
Compensation & Benefits
- Collections-based compensation starting at 40% of net cash collections for personally performed clinical care and injectables
- Additional income streams: 10% of net APP collections for supervised providers
- Ramp-up support: option for a 1-2 year guaranteed monthly base salary during transition; sign-on/relocation/student loan support may be available
- Benefits include 20 days PTO (inclusive of CME/sick), 6 holidays + 2 floating holidays, up to $7,000 CME, employer-paid licensing/DEA/dues, and malpractice with tail
Candidate Requirements
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Dermatology
- Illinois medical license (unrestricted) in hand or eligible; active DEA (or ability to obtain)
- Comfort providing collaborative oversight to APPs and aesthetic staff
- Interest in building your preferred case mix (medical derm, cosmetics, and/or selected skin cancer procedures)
Community & Location Highlights
- Central Illinois location with an easy commute and access to both a primary clinic and a nearby regional hub
- Family-friendly living with a range of housing options and everyday conveniences close to clinic
- Outdoor recreation and weekend getaways within a manageable drive
- Regional airport access and straightforward travel to larger Midwest metros
