Description

Locums Cardiovascular Surgery PA coverage is available in North Carolina, supporting an inpatient service for night shift coverage

Highlights

• In-house nights on an inpatient adult cardiovascular surgery service
• Ongoing coverage need
• Work alongside a large, established CV surgery team (surgeons + APP support)

Schedule

• Overnight, in-house coverage
• Four nights per week needed
• Ongoing assignment with a defined coverage gap (reach out for the remaining blocks)
• Scheduled as 7p-7a

Cases and Responsibilities

• Assess consults for urgent OR/cath needs for the call team
• Manage floor calls from nursing and place orders as needed
• Help prepare patients for discharge and coordinate next steps
• See a small morning set (about 3-4 patients) to support the dayshift handoff
• No first assisting; occasional bedside tasks may be requested as needed

Requirements

• Must be a PA/NP
• Minimum 24 months of experience required
• Active North Carolina license required (not able to wait for license)
• Experience aligned with cardiothoracic surgery and/or vascular/endovascular surgery accepted
