This inpatient-focused cardiothoracic surgery role is built around dedicated call blocks, allowing surgeons to focus on OR cases and CVICU care without clinic responsibilities.

Practice & Cases

• Inpatient setting covering surgery, consults, and CVICU post-op care
• Cases include CABG, valve procedures, ECMO, pacemakers, and thoracic work
• Adult patient population only
• Focused surgical and hospital-based responsibilities

Schedule

• 24-hour call coverage during assigned 7 to 10 day stretches
• OR cases typically start early morning
• Daily workflow includes surgery, consults, and rounding
• Weekend rounding shared with APP support

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery
• Active Pennsylvania license required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required

Logistics

• Travel accommodations provided
• Lodging arranged for assignment
• Rental car and mileage reimbursement included
