Practice Setting

• Inpatient community hospital emergency department
• Two physician coverage model with one APC across the 24 hour cycle
• APC support commonly 12P to 10P, with the department often quieter after 10P
• Adult patient population, no pediatrics admitted at this site
• Higher acuity patients are transferred to a regional center

Schedule

• Approximately 13 night shifts per month
• 12 hour shifts, 7P to 7A
• Long term coverage need, ideal if you want ongoing months rather than a short fill in

Cases and Procedures

• Typical community emergency presentations
• Imaging on site includes MRI and X ray, with reads available around the clock
• Ultrasound available after hours by call in
• Weekday specialty availability includes general surgery, cardiology, and orthopedics

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine accepted, ABEM welcomed, FM must be comfortable in the ED setting
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years
• Active Kentucky license in hand
• Comfortable documenting in Epic
