This neurosurgery assignment offers predictable seven-day coverage blocks with manageable consult volume and general neurosurgical call responsibilities.

Practice & Cases

• Inpatient neurosurgery call coverage
• General neurosurgery cases including cervical, lumbar, degenerative disease, abscesses, and intracranial hematomas
• Adult patient population
• Average of 1-3 consults and 0-2 emergency cases per day

Schedule

• 24-hour call coverage
• Seven consecutive days of coverage per month
• Coverage blocks available throughout the fall
• Additional block opportunities may become available

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Active South Carolina license required
• Board Certified in Neurological Surgery
• ACLS certification and DEA registration required

Logistics

• Approved hotel accommodations provided during coverage
• Standard rental car included for assignment travel
