St. Peters Health Partners is seeking a fulltime Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist on behalf of Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established, highly regarded outpatient psychiatry program that has served the community for more than 50 years and is supported by strong system resources and a collaborative, team based environment.
Ellis Hospitals Psychiatry Program provides comprehensive behavioral health services for adults, children, and adolescents, with a strong focus on high quality, patient centered outpatient care.
Position Details
- Provide outpatient psychiatric care for adult patients at the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic
- Monday-Friday schedule with 8 hour shifts
- No inpatient responsibilities
- Call Rotation:
- Weekends: 1 weekend per month
- Nights: Rotating call
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary behavioral health team

Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- New York State licensure and DEA required (or eligibility)
- Prior outpatient experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
- Strong clinical skills, communication skills, and commitment to team based care
Recruitment Package: St. Peters Health Partners offers a comprehensive salary and compensation package that includes:
- Compensation is between $318,449 and $354,957 commensurate with experience with the ability to earn more through a generous quality incentive
- The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
- Relocation assistance is available.
- $25,000 starting bonus
