Respiratory Care Assistant
Our Lady of the Angels
Bogalusa, LA

Job Summary: The Respiratory Assistant cleans and disinfects patient equipment, sterilizes reusable equipment prior to reuse, assembles and performs basic calibrations on ventilators and other critical respiratory equipment, supervises and trains the respiratory aids, audits charges and charting for accuracy, ensuring the provision of quality respiratory services by the department. The Assistant utilizes all equipment, supplies, and resources in a prudent and efficient manner, maintains stock in respiratory supply areas throughout the facility, and complies with safety, quality assurance, and infection control standards in an effort to ensure that high quality health care services are provided by the department and hospital.

Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Current student in accredited respiratory program.
