We are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Trauma & Acute Care Surgeon with fellowship training in Trauma/Surgical Critical Care to join our established and growing trauma program.
Practice Highlights:
Bay Area Medical Center
Level II ACS & State-Verified Trauma Center
- 152-bed acute care hospital (current expansion to 200 underway)
- Verified Level II Trauma Center (ACS and State)
- Approximately 65,000 annual Emergency Department visits
- Approximately 95% blunt injury
- Dedicated Trauma and Acute Care Surgery service
- State-of-the-art robotic surgical technology
- Collaborative multidisciplinary trauma team
Doctors Regional Medical Center
Level IV State-Verified Trauma Center
- 250-bed acute care hospital
- Approximately 40,000 annual Emergency Department visits
- General surgery coverage only (no trauma responsibilities)
- 24-hour home call model
- Established surgical support infrastructure
Candidate Qualifications
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
- Fellowship training in Trauma Surgery and/or Surgical Critical Care required
- Eligible for Texas medical licensure
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
- Strong interest in trauma, emergency general surgery, and acute care surgery
